Troy Polamalu: The Pittsburgh Steelers caricature by Kerry G. Johnson

Here was a fun project. A tractor retailer wanted a caricature of Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamulu riding atop a tractor for his Super Bowl party. It was an inside joke for his family and friends. It was an interesting assignment and since I am a Steelers fan, I enjoyed the challenge.

A family’s caricature Christmas card

This was a fun project to illustrate. The mom contacted me about an special idea for her 2010 family’s Christmas card.
I actually drew caricatures at her daugther’s birthday party a few years ago. So I was pleased that she was a returning customer. It was a quick turnaround. It reminded me of my theme-park days. I’m happy that I met the deadline.

Fraternity will celebrate 100 year anniversary at Ohio State

I’m a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. In 2011, the fraternity will be celebrating the 100th Year Anniversary of Kappa Chapter at the Ohio State University (where I was initiated). I happily designed the logo for that centennial celebration.

Banners for the American Physical Society

When I’m not illustrating caricatures and cartoons, I stay busy working as the director of art and special publications at the American Physical Sociey in College Park, MD. Here’s a series of 3 feet by 6 feet promotional banners that I designed. They will be displayed at the association’s booth at conferences.

Caricature of the “Divine 9″. This is a tribute illustration celebrates the imagery of the 9 historically African American fraternities and sororities. Which include: Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, Omega Psi Phi, Iota Phi Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Delta Sigma Theta. The Sigma and Delta in the front are the blessed wedding couple.
